2. Data we process

This website has no forms, does not use cookies and does not include any analytics, advertising or tracking tools. We only process:

• The data you voluntarily provide when contacting us by email or telephone: identification and contact details and information relating to your enquiry.
• Technical connection data — IP address, date and time of access or browser type — automatically logged by the hosting provider in order to serve the pages and keep the website secure.

In your first communication, please do not send us special categories of data or third-party data that are not strictly necessary to assess your enquiry.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Responding to your enquiry and, where appropriate, sending you a service proposal: steps taken at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Providing the legal services engaged and managing the professional relationship, including invoicing: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Complying with the firm's legal obligations, including tax and anti-money-laundering obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
• Ensuring the security and proper functioning of the website: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

No automated decisions are made and no profiles are created.

4. Retention period

Data from enquiries that do not lead to an engagement will be kept for as long as necessary to respond to them and then, duly blocked, for the limitation period of any liabilities that may arise. Client data will be kept for the duration of the professional relationship and thereafter for the periods required by applicable law — including tax and anti-money-laundering legislation — and for the relevant limitation periods. Technical connection logs are kept by the hosting provider for a limited period in accordance with its own policy.

5. Recipients

Data will not be disclosed to third parties except where required by law or where necessary to provide the services engaged — for example, to courts, court representatives (procuradores), experts or other professionals involved in the matter.

The firm's technology providers have access to data as processors, subject to the safeguards of Article 28 GDPR: the website hosting provider (Netlify, Inc.) and the email provider (Microsoft).

6. International transfers

Netlify, Inc. is established in the United States and participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers to this provider are therefore based on Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795 of 10 July 2023. Any other international transfer will be carried out with the safeguards provided for in Chapter V GDPR, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

7. Professional secrecy

All information you provide in connection with an enquiry or engagement is protected by legal professional secrecy, in accordance with Article 542.3 of Spanish Organic Law 6/1985 of 1 July on the Judiciary and the General Statute of the Spanish Legal Profession.

8. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to info@goizuetaabogados.com, stating the right you wish to exercise and providing proof of identity. If you consider that the processing does not comply with the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

9. Cookies

This website does not use cookies or any similar technologies that store or access information on the user's device. Fonts and other resources are served from the website's own domain, with no connections to third-party servers. For that reason, no cookie banner is displayed.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the law or in the firm's services. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
